For a period of three months this fall the program of Stroom Den Haag will be dedicated to performance art, in the broadest sense of the word. We will explore the practice of 'expanded' performance, breaking through the boundaries of the exhibition space and actively engaging the audience. On the day of the opening Expanded Performance will not present an exhibition in its finished form; over time the presentation will change, by means of performances, activities and visitor participation. The audience can follow these changes through a Tumblr blog and taking a guided tour of the building and along the interventions of the artists. Expanded Performance is characterized by a variety of speeds and layers. This will be explained further on.

Originally trained as an architect, Adrien Tirtiaux takes a special interest in buildings, spaces and their use, which is often visible in his [...]

The Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris has invited Roman Ondák, one of the leading figures in today's art field, to design an exhibition for ARC, the Museum's contemporary art arm.

Ondák 's work is often based on the various contexts in which he is invited to do projects. In this way his exhibitions become repositories for individual and group experiences.

Aiming at more than a simple retrospective, Ondák sees this exhibition as the chance to provide an overview of his current concerns. Among the exhibited works is Measuring the Universe, here in its first French version, which weaves an intangible link with his earlier works. In this ongoing, open-ended piece, which requires the participation of the museum personnel and the public, each visitor [...]

Maja Vukoje: Immer bunter: Aktuelle Malerei aus Österreich

Mit Markus Bacher, Christian Falsnaes, Manuel Gorkiewicz, Herbert Hinteregger, Luisa Kasalicky, Katrin Plavcak, Alfons Pressnitz, Martina Steckholzer, Marianne Vlaschits, Maja Vukoje, Herwig Weiser
