It is about the idea of a rather concentrated concept in contemporary art production than the idea of an expanded art (like performance, social art, ...). As it can seen in painting, drawing, video, sculpture or photography it is including an approach to the art in relation to a basic experience of life and to a conscious questioning of the separation of art and life or a playful approach towards it. An essential precondition for this is the thinking of any contextual movements in the art of the nineties. Personal views stands against scientific descriptivism, poetic and intuitiv views in the foreground. A nostalgic subversiv touch may arise.
The title of the show will be "Prisma". The word is often used to describe the music of Arvo Pärt. His music is light as light which falls on a prisma. For me the word stands for "reality" through which the different views either on art or on the recipient himself is split. This can be very minimal shifts. Through the fact that my approach is a poetical one (also by the list of artists) I wanted to choose a name which is a kind of counterpoint, more specific.
The show includes works by:
Carla Ahlander (SWE), Tue Greenfort (DK), Massimo Grimaldi (I), Diego
Perrone (I), Kirsten Pieroth (D), Gernot Wieland (A).
